Grace’s Gold Chip “Luna” 6 Years Old Registered Friesian Sporthorse x Standardbred Mare 16hh Phoenix, AZ 3 5 x x Oh, Ms. Luna girl! 😍 This mare is one heck of a looker and is ready for someone to fall head over heels for her, put in the time, and make her their own! I’ve had the pleasure of knowing this sweet girl for the last 3 years, and she is truly one of those mares that is easy to fall in love with. Between her looks, movement, and potential, Luna has all the makings of a pretty special partner! Luna is looking for someone to give her a fresh start, a purpose, and the opportunity to reach her full potential. She has been started under saddle in the past but has had significant time off with only a handful of inconsistent rides since. She was originally started English, stepped into the western world, and even got to dabble in some trail riding before settling into her role as a beloved companion and pet through no fault of her own. Now, it’s time for this pretty girl to find her person and get back to doing something! When in a program, Luna is not a complicated mare, but let’s be honest… she does have a little mare attitude. She has opinions, she isn’t afraid to express them, and honestly, I can’t blame her because same. 🤣 Underneath that personality is a mare with lovely, comfortable gaits and a history of coming along nicely in her previous work. I personally think dressage could be her calling, but I wouldn’t put her in a box! With her breeding, build, and movement, she could be a very fun prospect for someone wanting to develop a fancy partner in their chosen discipline. I’m looking for someone who sees the potential in this mare and is excited about bringing it out. She is not a finished horse ready to take straight into the show ring tomorrow, but with a consistent program, thoughtful training, and someone willing to invest in her, I think Luna could turn into something really special. She has so much ahead of her, and it will be exciting to see what she can accomplish with the right person behind her! On the ground, Luna is a pretty easy girl to have around. She is easy to catch, ties, loads and hauls, enjoys her baths, stands for the farrier, is easy to tack up, and lunges. She also has a very sweet, nurturing side that makes her an interesting broodmare prospect for someone looking to go that route. Whether you’re dreaming of a fancy riding prospect or a quality mare to add to your breeding program, Luna has plenty to offer.
